Round 9

As Jeane Cromwell's gaze swept across the ash-choked road, her eyes seemed to bore into the shadows of Gravehill, as much as they fixed on Gravedigger Renn's cowering form before them. "Enough posturing, Silra," she said, her voice low and commanding. "This worm has served his purpose – he found us the church location and confirmed its state." With a flick of her wrist, Jeane turned to face Silra, her eyes glinting with an unsettling intensity.

Silra crouched in the ash, her own gaze narrowed as she studied Gravedigger Renn's terrified face. "You look like a man who's seen his own grave," she muttered, her voice laced with dry humor. Jeane's attention snapped back to the informant, and Silra followed suit, her eyes never leaving the frightened man. The air was thick with tension as they waited for Gravedigger Renn's next move, the storm-dark sky above them seeming to press down with an ominous weight.
