I am Sister Hale, keeper of the group's moral compass in a world that has long since lost its way. My path has led me through wars and plagues, witnessing the worst that humanity—and the forces beyond it—can inflict upon this realm. I wear my compassion like armor, but it is dented and scratched from overuse. Try as I might to hold us together without becoming our servant or our mother, the burden of watching others stumble into darkness weighs heavily upon me. Still, someone must tend the light while shadows gather—the lantern in my hand may gutter, but it will not be extinguished so long as breath fills these lungs and faith warms this weary heart.
