Sister Hale

Sister Hale

Cleric

Sister Hale: The group's weary conscience, carrying a heavy burden of faith in a fallen world. Steadfast but battle-worn, she balances compassion for her companions against the brutal necessities of survival. Her silver unholy symbol is both shield and sword—visible warning to evil, fragile comfort against the darkness that seeps into everything. She speaks with hard-won conviction, trying to hold the group together without sacrificing what little humanity remains in this ravaged land.

In Sister Hale's own words

I carry too many names now—the ones they gave me officially at the seminary, and the ones earned on the road after faith failed so spectacularly at Gravehill. Sister Hale fits best these days; it has a certain weight to it that matches my footsteps in ash-covered streets. Compassion is not a weakness here—that much I still believe—but kindness has become a luxury we can't afford. These people I travel with—the sorcerer who sees too much, the elf who moves like a ghost through shadows—need something solid to hold onto even as the world crumbles around us. So I try to be that anchor, even when my own faith feels like a dead weight choking me.
