Phase: escalating

The heavy ram struck the church door again, wood groaning in protest. The voices outside were clearer now—at least three distinct men, one shouting something about a warrant and forced entry. Inside, the atmosphere had shifted from tense standoff to frantic problem-solving.
Halie moved to center stage, her voice cutting through the din with practiced authority. "Enough," she said firmly. "Jeane, I appreciate your honesty, but that doesn't change our immediate problem." Her eyes swept the room, taking in Silra's calculating expression, Hera's distant gaze, and Abby's obvious terror. To Jeane specifically: "Your illusion plan might work for a moment, but it's still a lie we're not equipped to maintain. We need something more...convincing."
Hera stepped forward, her heart pounding visibly. "Your idea about staging a ritual is...not bad," she said slowly, choosing her words with careful precision. "But we need more than just a prayer meeting to make this convincing." She turned to Jeane, her eyes narrowing as she studied the succubus's face. "You said your magic could create sensations of spiritual ecstasy without actually harming anyone. What exactly did you mean by that?"
Silra scanned the tool results—no useful data on the officers specifically. Shit. Emotional reaction: Frustration that we're operating blind about the threat outside. Immediate intent: I need to create some kind of early warning system or extraction plan in case this goes sideways. To Halie: "Your core idea is solid, but we need three things: one, a clear escape route if they don't buy it; two, a signal system so someone can abort at any time without breaking character; and three, so...
Jeane felt a dark thrill course through her at Hera's suggestion—risky, yes, but brilliant in its audacity. To create genuine spiritual ecstasy, to bend magic to make their debauchery seem divine...that was the kind of blasphemous art she was born to perform. Immediate intent: This plan requires absolute control and precision—I need to amplify physical pleasure without making it overwhelming enough to draw outside attention. Emotional reaction: Delight mixed with calculation about how to make this work.*
