Round 3

Silra’s voice echoes softly in the darkness outside. Hey Julia, over here! She waves subtly, trying to draw attention away from the church entrance. You look like you could use a hand—what’s going on? Her eyes dart between Julia and the door, gauging how much time she has before someone comes out. She needs to keep this casual, make it seem accidental that she’s here. Inside, Halie is already moving through the space with practiced efficiency, her cleric training making her acutely aware of every item that needs to be hidden or destroyed.
I move towards Silra’s position at the back door, my movements silent despite my size. Good thinking on the distraction—we need more time. My eyes scan the scene critically: Halie working efficiently but overwhelmed by evidence, Abby unconscious, Hera stirring behind the altar, and now Julia outside. This requires finesse we don’t have energy for right now. I signal to Silra through the crack in the door. Keep her talking—ask about family, work, anything to keep her occupied. Make it personal.*
She keeps her voice steady despite the adrenaline buzz running through me—Julia is closer now, her steps unsteady on the gravel outside the church. I can see the silhouette of her figure in the moonlight filtering through the trees. "Yeah, I know what you mean about needing a hand," I say casually, leaning against the wall beside the back door. "I was just heading out myself—couldn't sleep, you know how it is?" I pause, listening intently for any sounds from inside that might give us away.
She listens carefully, her rogue training kicking in as she tries to discern what’s happening inside the church. The last thing they need is Julia getting curious enough to investigate.
