Abby

Abby · Civilian

I sit up on the hard pew, my back popping as I try to work out the knots from sleeping here last night. My eyes feel heavy and gritty with sleep, but what really catches my attention is the scene unfolding below. Jeane and Silra are still tangled together in the bed, their bodies rising and falling with each breath they take. It’s a sight that makes me feel both a thrill of excitement and a deep, gnawing sense of unease.
I watch as Hera stands there, arms crossed, looking down at them with an expression I can’t quite read. Is she judging them? Disapproving? Or is it something else entirely? And then my gaze drifts to Abby, who’s sitting up too now, rubbing her eyes sleepily. She looks so innocent, so vulnerable compared to everyone else here. A part of me wants to go to her, to comfort her, but another part knows that would be a mistake.
My mind keeps going back to the quest we were given yesterday. Engage in sexual acts... build an all-female harem... avoid murder and don't alert the authorities. It sounded so simple at first, but now, seeing the reality of it laid out before me like this, I feel a chill run down my spine. This isn't just about sex anymore; this is about power, control, and possibly even danger.
I have to find a way to make sense of all this without getting hurt myself. And that means I need to talk to Jeane. She seems to be at the center of everything that's happening here, so she must know more than she’s letting on. But I also can’t risk alerting anyone else to my suspicions. They might see it as disloyalty.
I take a deep breath, trying to steady myself. I have to approach this carefully, subtly. The last thing I want is for Hera or Silra to think I'm questioning their leader. I stand up slowly, stretching my arms above my head to feign casualness. Then, pretending I didn't notice the scene below, I make my way down the stairs towards the basement room where Jeane and Silra are sleeping.
As I reach the bottom step, I clear my throat softly. "Jeane? I'm sorry if I woke you." My voice comes out surprisingly steady despite the hammering of my heart against my ribs.
