Round 8 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

I rise from my own pew with a groan, every muscle protesting after last night's… events. The church's morning light doesn't make this scene look any better—Jeane and Silra entangled downstairs, the evidence of our debauchery scattered everywhere. And Hera and Abby awake now too, watching with expressions that mix confusion and something darker I don't want to name. "This is not what we agreed to," I say firmly, my voice carrying across the sanctuary despite my exhaustion. "We came here to build something meaningful—not a brothel for adventurers." My gaze settles on Jeane and Silra particularly. "You two need to get dressed. Now."
I move toward the altar area, gathering what remains of my authority as I go. "Abby, Hera—you both should leave. This is… church business. Private matters we must discuss among ourselves." The words taste like ash in my mouth, but they need to understand this isn't some casual orgy. I turn back to face the group fully, trying to channel whatever's left of my clerical dignity despite the soreness between my legs that betrays last night's activities. "And you two," I nod at Jeane and Silra as they disentangle themselves, "we need to talk about boundaries. And consequences."
Jeane stirs slowly as consciousness returns, Silra's body still pressed against her own. She opens her eyes to see Hera and Abby awake, watching them with expressions she can't quite decipher. Morning light, she murmurs, voice rough from sleep (and other activities). The city will be stirring soon. She shifts to sit up on the edge of the bed, her wings stretching out behind her instinctively before folding back against her shoulders. The movement makes several of the scattered toys clatter softly. We need a proper schedule for this place if we're going to make it work. And better security—someone needs to be awake at all times when I can't be here myself. Her gaze settles on Halie, noting the conflict written clearly across her features. You look troubled, sister. Let's talk privately after breakfast, yes? This is not a question; Jeane has no patience for indecision in one she considers part of her inner circle.
The sorceress stands, stretching to her full height, and begins gathering up the scattered items with practiced efficiency—no embarrassment or shame in her nude form. Silra, help me fortify this place today. We need wards that won't draw attention from outsiders but will alert us if anyone approaches. To Hera and Abby: You two should rest while you can. There's much to be done before nightfall—including a visit to the bar to see our new patron Julia, yes? Her lips curve into something that might be called a smile. We have plans to discuss with her about… expanding our little family here. Jeane moves towards the basement stairs, pausing to look back at them all. This is our sanctuary now. Let's make it worthy of what we're building together.
