Silra moved with fluid grace despite her exhaustion, circling around the bed to position herself between Jeane and the trembling civilian. “Jeane,” she hissed again, louder now, “stop.” Her teal eyes flickered between her succubus leader and the wide-eyed intruder. The situation had gone from post-coital bliss to potential disaster in seconds flat. They needed to handle this carefully or everything they’d built here would come crashing down around them. And she knew exactly what ‘handling it’ meant—it wouldn’t be pleasant, but sometimes necessity demanded unpleasantness.

Abby flinched at Silra’s harsh tone, taking a small step back. Her eyes darted around the room—taking in the disheveled bed, the lingering scent, the three women who clearly just had sex—and she swallowed hard. “I... I can’t leave,” she blurted out, her voice trembling. “My ex-boyfriend is outside. He’s been following me and I came here to get away from him.”

Silra pinched the bridge of her nose, cursing under her breath. “Fucking perfect. Now we’re hiding from an abuser while trying to deal with a witness who just stumbled into our sex den? This is exactly what I meant by ‘discretion,’ Jeane.”

Jeane’s expression darkened as she considered Abby’s words. An abusive ex-boyfriend? How wonderfully predictable—and how perfectly useful for their current predicament. This changes nothing fundamentally. We still need her silence, and now we have leverage to ensure it. The ex upstairs is merely another variable in the equation—a threat to be managed, not a reason to abandon our plans.

She stepped forward with predatory grace despite her exhaustion. “My dear girl,” she purred, voice dripping with dark promise, “you’ve stumbled into something far more interesting than your pathetic little life. But don’t worry—we’ll deal with that ex of yours while you learn what true pleasure feels like. You want protection? I’ll protect you... in exchange for your complete and utter devotion to our cause.”

Abby’s eyes widened at Jeane’s words, a mix of terror and something else flickering across her face. “I... I don’t know if that’s—” she started, but the sound of heavy footsteps stopped her mid-sentence. They were getting closer—and testing door handles now. The reality of their situation crashed down on everyone in the room.
