I'm not sure what I'm doing here in this abandoned church, listening to these women talk about power and corruption like it's something to be worshipped. But there's a part of me that's intrigued by the idea of belonging to something bigger than myself, even if it means giving up some of my independence. I've always been the type to go my own way, to fight against anyone who tries to tell me what to do or how to live my life. But lately, I've been feeling lost, like I'm just going through the motions at my dead-end job and in this dead-end town. Maybe this is my chance to find something more meaningful, even if it means taking a leap of faith into the unknown.
