Round 84

Silra moved with calculated nonchalance toward where Halia knelt praying, her teal eyes scanning the room's shifting dynamics even as she projected an air of casual compliance. The magical energies swirling visibly now—Jeane's spell backfiring spectacularly into a vortex of residual lust and chaos that made the very air taste wrong—were exactly what she'd feared when the sorceress insisted on "controlling" things. Fucking amateurs and their grandstanding.
The soldiers were getting twitchy, hands drifting toward weapons or crotches indiscriminately as the ambient magic seeped into them. One particularly burly specimen had his hand wrapped around his dick through his pants while still holding a rifle in the other—useful for shooting, less so for aiming accurately. The enhanced female operative advancing on Jeane with taser raised was more concerning though—the woman moved like she'd been trained to neutralize threats efficiently rather than hesitate. Ms. Stone had backed against the wall near the hidden door, looking ready to abandon everyone if things went sideways.
And those two robed figures approaching through the chaos? Identical twins moving in perfect synchronization despite obvious magical backlash—glowing symbols on their robes pulsing with each step. Cultists or something worse? Either way, involving themselves actively instead of retreating like sane people would do. The situation was spiraling beyond even her ability to manage discreetly now.
Jeane stood seething at the center of it all, magic swirling around her naked form in visible tendrils while she glared daggers at Halia praying. The sorceress's eyes were wild with barely contained rage—too much lust magic flooding her system again, making her reckless and dangerous even to allies. If that operative touched her with the taser now...
Focus. Prioritize. Halia first—can't let our naive little hero get herself killed trying to play savior when she's just a fucking liability right now. The soldiers are too far gone in whatever mix of arousal and panic is hitting them, not worth immediate attention unless they start shooting randomly. Ms. Stone? She'll look after her own interests—no help or hindrance either way. Those twin cultists though... walking variables that need monitoring closely.
The enhanced bitch with the taser is the immediate threat—military-trained reflexes responding to perceived magical contamination. Can't let Jeane lose control completely and start throwing spells around willy-nilly, not with Halia so close. Need to de-escalate before this turns into an actual bloodbath we can't talk our way out of later.
Time to intervene before someone gets stupidly heroic or fatally careless.
