In Abby's own words
I am Abby, just a simple girl who works at a convenience store on the edge of town. My life is quiet, almost invisible really. I keep my head down and do as I'm told. It's not that I don't have dreams or desires, but they feel small compared to the world around me. When Jeane came into our shop late one night, something shifted inside me. Her confidence was so overwhelming, her presence filling every corner of the tiny store like she owned it all already. She saw me watching her, and instead of being angry, a slow smile spread across her face.
