The barrier ward flickered, drawing on Halie’s reserves with each passing second. Jeane was thrashing now, her eyes glowing with that terrifying light as Hera struggled to hold her. The building groaned around them, its need pulsing through the walls in waves that made Halie’s skin crawl.

Jeane’s wings twitched involuntarily as another wave of lust washed over her. The building’s demands pulsed through her very being, a desperate need that grew with each passing moment. She glared at Silra, her eyes glowing faintly with barely-contained power. You’re not leaving this room until I’m satisfied, she hissed, her voice dripping with threat and promise. Don’t make me force you to stay. She took a step towards the elf rogue, her movements graceful despite her obvious distress.

Halie stepped between them, one hand raised toward each of the women in appeal. “This isn’t helping anyone,” she said firmly enough for both to hear over the building’s groans. To Silra: “Your blades won’t solve this—she needs control, not a fight.” And to Jeane: “Stand down before you hurt someone. We’ll find another way.” She shifted her focus back to Silra, keeping her voice level but insistent. “No killing the demon who’s helping us survive this mess. That solves nothing.”

Jeane’s eyes flashed red for just a moment before she regained control. Silra, if you leave this room again to repair those barriers, I will not be held responsible for what happens next. The building’s demands are getting stronger by the minute—we don’t have much time left. Halie’s ward flickered as Jeane’s power pulsed through the suite, the very air crackling with sexual energy.
