Round 73

Phase: resolution · forced · organic escalating

Silra crouched beside her contraption, fingers dancing over control panels and exposed circuitry. The low hum of machinery filled the air between groans from the building's hungry structure. “Stability holds,” she reported, wiping sweat from her brow with the back of one hand. “Another thirty minutes minimum.” Jeane’s voice cut through the moment: sharp, impatient. “Thirty minutes we could be using more… efficiently.” The elf woman turned to face her fully, expression unreadable except for a faint wariness around the eyes. “Efficiency isn’t always about immediate gratification when the building demands group sex every few hours.”
“Your machine is just buying time,” Jeane pressed. “Time for what? Another round of ‘let’s get naked and vibrate together’?” A muscle twitched in Silra’s jaw—Hera noticed it immediately, filed away as a sign of growing frustration. The elf woman stood slowly, deliberately. “If you have a better idea that doesn’t involve compromising everyone’s dignity or safety, I’m all ears.” Her tone remained level, but Hera caught the underlying tension. This wasn’t just about engineering anymore—Jeane was pushing boundaries again.
“Maybe we need to be more… direct,” Jeane suggested, her eyes gleaming with an idea that made Hera’s stomach twist uncomfortably. “If it wants a show, give it a show.” Silra’s expression hardened further. “And if that fails? If it demands more? We’re right back where we started but with everyone exposed and humiliated.” She glanced around the group, seeking agreement—Hera nodded almost imperceptibly. This wasn’t the time for Jeane’s selfish solutions.
“Your way is slow,” Jeane argued. “My way is sped up.” The building chose that moment to groan again, louder this time, the very walls seeming to flex around them in a way that made Hera’s skin crawl with something between fear and unwanted arousal. Silra checked her equipment readouts, face tightening further. “Fine,” she said finally, voice tight. “You want direct? I’ll give you direct.” She moved to a workbench, pulling out tools and components with quick, angry movements. “But next time the building demands something, we’re doing it MY way—no questions, no arguments.”
The other women exchanged glances. Halie spoke up: “Girls, maybe we should—” But Silra was already working, lost in a flurry of soldering and circuit design that seemed almost violent in its intensity. Whatever she was building now… it wasn’t going to be good for their dignity or safety if things went wrong.
