Round 59

Phase: converging · forced · organic escalating

The suite’s energy pulsed faster as time ran out, symbols on the walls brightening ominously. Silra stood hunched over her workbench, silver-blonde hair falling forward as she pored over schematics and blueprints with laser focus. Her bright teal eyes scanned each page methodically before moving to the next, occasionally pausing to jot notes or adjust some component of her experimental apparatus.
Halie moved to stand beside the elf, looking over Silra’s shoulder at the complex diagrams spread across the table. The weary cleric’s soft brown hair fell forward as she leaned in, blue-grey eyes tracking the lines and symbols with growing comprehension. "What do you need from me?" Halie asked quietly, her voice tight with barely-contained anxiety. "I won’t participate directly in what Jeane’s suggesting, but if there’s a way to channel my energy or use my skills to help with your technical solution…" She glanced meaningfully at the walls, where the symbols were indeed growing brighter and more insistent.
Silra didn’t look up immediately, her attention fixed on a particularly complex circuit design. When she finally spoke, it was in response to Halie’s question rather than addressing the underlying tension between them. "The building wants us 'together'—that's clear enough—but there has to be a mechanical workaround," she said, voice steady despite the pressure building around them. She flipped to a new page showing the building’s structural systems. "You two channel that divine energy while Jeane and I focus on the machine. It satisfies the requirement without turning this into an orgy we never agreed to." Her fingers traced over the blueprints, sketching out a modification in red ink.
Jeane circled the workstation slowly, her crimson eyes fixed on Silra’s bent form with predatory intensity. The succubus’s voluptuous body moved with fluid grace as she paced, dark leathery wings stirring restlessly behind her. "Your diagrams are lovely, darling," she purred, her voice dripping with barely-contained hunger that made Halie shiver despite the room’s warmth, "but I'm afraid they won't satisfy our dear building's needs the way a good, hard fuck will." She ran a hand possessively along Silra’s spine, fingers trailing down between the elf’s shoulder blades. The touch was electric—Silra stiffened visibly at the contact, her pencil pausing mid-stroke.
The air inside the suite remained heavy with a strange, pulsing energy that seemed to seep from the very walls themselves. Symbols glowed faintly along the edges of the room, tracing patterns that writhed and shifted as if alive. The pressure was building now, an insistent thrumming that vibrated through the floorboards and ceiling. Time was running out—both for Silra’s technical solution and their collective sanity under the building’s escalating demands.
