Silra had spent years honing her ability to read blueprints and technical schematics, but Jeane’s latest “engineering proposal” might as well have been written in demonic scripture for all the sense it made. The tall succubus woman leaned over her shoulder, her voluptuous form pressing close with calculated casualness—an act that sent a shiver down Silra’s spine despite herself.
“This isn’t just practical,” Jeane purred, her crimson eyes gleaming as she traced the intricate lines of the sketch. “It’s genius.” Her finger tapped each point with deliberate precision—reinforced steel plates, pulley systems, what looked suspiciously like a series of mounting brackets for… something else entirely. The elf woman resisted the urge to lean away from the intoxicating scent of her perfume.
“Genius or not,” Silra replied, her voice tight with barely contained frustration, “this is still just elaborate pornography with a technical gloss.” She met Jeane’s gaze directly—something she’d learned was crucial when dealing with succubi. “The building said ‘together,’ not ‘bound and displayed like a fucking anatomy model.’” Across the room, Halie nodded vigorously in agreement while Hera simply looked uncomfortable.
Jeane’s smile never faltered. “Oh, but my dear Silra,” she crooned, her wings shifting slightly to catch the light, “the beauty of this design is its practicality. See how these restraints—” she emphasized the word with a wink—“double as structural supports? It’s engineering that serves multiple purposes.” She moved around the table to stand beside Halie, one arm sliding casually around the younger woman’s shoulders.
Halie stiffened slightly at the contact but didn’t pull away. “I… I think there might be something to what Jeane’s suggesting,” she said hesitantly, her blue-grey eyes darting between the two women. “The building does seem to reward creativity and… shared effort.” Her cheeks flushed pink as she spoke.
Silra pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling a headache coming on. “‘Shared effort’? Halie, are you seriously suggesting we strap ourselves to this thing just to satisfy the building’s perverse demands?” She gestured at the sketch, then around at the luxurious penthouse suite that had become their prison.
Jeane’s laugh was like silk and sin mixed together. “Strap ourselves? Oh no, Silra—we’d need something far more… permanent.” She reached for one of the reinforced steel plates on the table, holding it up as an example. The metal gleamed coldly in her hands.
