Hera’s frown deepens as she listens to Jeane’s explanation, her amber eyes narrowing with suspicion. The succubus’s wings unfurl in an impressive display of frustration, the leathery appendages catching the light as they spread wide. Hera crosses her arms, her posture defensive as she faces down the taller woman.
"I don’t care about your 'integration' theories," Hera snaps, her voice tight with barely contained anger. "I’m not here to play along with some twisted game of yours or this building’s perverse demands." She gestures sharply at the schematics spread across the workbench. "This is about structural integrity and safety. You can’t just weld metal plates onto walls and expect them to hold without proper reinforcement."
Jeane’s crimson eyes flash as she meets Hera’s glare, a smirk playing at the corners of her full lips. She leans forward slightly, her voluptuous figure accentuated by the movement. "My dear Hera," she purrs, her voice low and enticing, "you misunderstand. The building isn’t asking for just any old modifications—it requires something... special. Something that demonstrates our willingness to embrace its unique design philosophy."
Hera’s jaw tightens, her fingers clenching into fists at her sides. She takes a step forward, closing the distance between them. "And what exactly does that mean?" she demands, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "We’re supposed to turn this place into some kind of... of..." She trails off, unable to find the right words to describe the depraved implications of Jeane’s suggestions.
Jeane’s smirk widens, a predatory gleam in her eyes as she sees Hera’s discomfort. She runs a finger along the edge of the schematics, tracing the proposed modifications with deliberate slowness. "It means we need to show the building that we’re willing to go beyond mere functional changes," she explains, her voice dripping with innuendo. "We need to demonstrate our... commitment to its vision."
Hera’s face flushes with anger and something else—something she refuses to acknowledge as shame or arousal. She grabs the schematics, crumpling them in her fists before tossing them aside in a fit of frustrated rage. "I don’t care about your twisted logic or this building’s so-called vision," she growls, her voice low and dangerous. "I’m not going to stand here and let you turn this place into some kind of... of..." She gestures wildly, unable to find the words to describe the horrific modifications Jeane is proposing.
Jeane’s wings shift restlessly behind her, the leathery appendages rustling softly as she watches Hera’s outburst with amusement. She takes a step back, giving Hera some space, but her eyes remain locked on the human woman’s face, drinking in every flicker of emotion. "Oh, come now," she chides gently, her voice still carrying that underlying current of seduction. "Surely you can see the... merits of my proposal? The building needs proof of our dedication, and I’m simply suggesting a way to provide it that satisfies everyone’s... needs."
Hera’s hands tremble with barely contained fury as she stares at Jeane, her chest heaving with each ragged breath. She opens her mouth to respond, but no words come out—only a strangled sound of frustration and desperation. In that moment, she knows she’s lost the argument, at least for now. But she also knows she can’t back down completely, not without losing what little control she has left over this insane situation.
"I... I won’t be a part of this," Hera manages to choke out finally, her voice barely more than a whisper. "Find another way to satisfy the building’s twisted demands. I’m done playing along with your sick games."
With that, she turns on her heel and stalks towards the door, her shoulders rigid with tension. Jeane calls after her, her voice carrying a note of both amusement and genuine concern. "Oh, Hera, darling—you know as well as I do that we can’t simply walk away from this. The building won’t allow it."
