Silra's tools slip, scoring a deep new gash across the sybian's base. The wood splinters audibly—this thing was already on borrowed time. She freezes, staring at the fresh damage. The building's hum intensifies, vibrating through the floorboards like a purring cat that just noticed a mouse. You've got to be kidding me, Silra mutters, looking up at the ceiling. Now it's upset because I'm damaging the merchandise?

Jeane

Jeane · Succubus

I examine the cracked wood frame Silra has laid out. The joinery is shoddy—amateur workmanship on what was supposed to be a precision instrument. I understand technical skill far better than this, though I usually apply it to different... arts. "You're right about the construction," I say slowly, addressing Silra directly for once rather than dismissively. "But we can't simply discard it or buy new ones—I doubt the building's mood would improve. Perhaps a more creative approach?" I glance at Halie, inviting her clerical insight. "What if we repurpose this into something else? Something that better represents our combined efforts—literal teamwork?" The idea feels right as I voice it. "You design the mechanics, Silra, and I can contribute... structural enhancements." My wings shift slightly, a hint of what those could entail.

Silra

Silra · Rogue

I look up from the mangled sybian frame, wood splinters under my nails. ('The hell was THAT?') The building's groan shifts tone—disapproval vibrating through the floorboards. ('Great, now we're breaking furniture and pissing off the structure itself.')

I dust sawdust from my thighs. ('Jeane's right, this piece of crap is beyond patchwork. But 'creative teamwork'?') I eye her wing-tip gestures skeptically. ('And what exactly are these 'structural enhancements' you're offering?')

My focus narrows on the damage I caused. ('This was supposed to be a technical fix, not an art project gone wrong.')

I stand, leaving the ruined toy behind. ('We need something that actually works and lasts. Something we can trust won't fall apart mid—whatever the building wants next.')

My eyes meet Jeane's, then Halie's worried expression across the room. ('Time to stop reacting and start engineering this situation properly. Together, yes—but on MY terms, not the building's whims.')

I move toward my discarded pack in the corner. ('If we're getting creative, let's do it right. I've got better materials than this piece of junk, and we can design something that meets the demand for 'togetherness' while actually being functional.')

I start pulling out tools and spare parts—metal fittings, reinforced brackets, my miniature welder. ('Who needs woodworking when you've got metalwork skills?')
