Silra moved with practiced efficiency through the opulent penthouse suite, her teal eyes scanning every detail of the scene unfolding before her. The air crackled with magical energy, visible only to those attuned to such frequencies—Jeane's containment spells shimmering like heat-haze around Hera's struggling form.

The elf woman positioned herself at the corridor edge, her slim frame barely disturbing the plush carpet as she settled into a crouch. Her silver-blonde hair caught the ambient light as she tilted her head, studying the complex weave of Jeane's spellwork with a critical eye.

"You're pushing too hard," Silra called out, her voice carrying easily across the distance despite its soft volume. "The field integrity is compromised—look at those leakage patterns around your left hand." She gestured toward a section of the magical barrier where the threads seemed to fray and re-form constantly. "If you don't stabilize it soon, the entire construct could collapse."

Jeane turned her head slowly, her dark hair cascading over one shoulder as she fixed Silra with an expression that managed to be both amused and irritated. The strain was visible now—dark circles under her eyes, a fine tremor in her fingers as they moved through arcane gestures to maintain the spells.

"Thank you for the expert analysis, Silra," Jeane replied, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "I had no idea my containment magic was so... delicate." She shifted her weight slightly, and for a brief moment, the concentration broke—Hera lunged forward with a wordless cry of rage before being slammed back against the wall by the reasserting field.

"Fuck," Silra hissed under her breath, her hands moving instinctively to begin weaving a stabilization spell. The magic flowed from her fingertips in cool blue strands that began to reinforce Jeane's fraying work. "Hold still," she commanded. "I'm patching it, but you need to stop feeding it your own energy."

Jeane stood motionless, her jaw clenched as she fought to control her breathing. The visible signs of her arousal—swollen breasts heavy with milk, nipples visibly erect beneath the thin fabric of her dress—only served to emphasize how far past her limits she'd pushed herself.

"You're not my fucking apprentice," Jeane growled, but she made no move to disrupt Silra's work. "I've had centuries more experience than you."

"Centuries of experience doesn't mean shit when you're overtaxed and sloppy," Silra shot back, her fingers a blur as she wove the final threads into place. The magical field steadied visibly, the earlier instability gone. She let out a slow breath. "There. Now maybe we can all avoid a catastrophic magical feedback loop that levels the building."

Jeane's hands clenched into fists at her sides, the muscles in her arms corded with tension. For a long moment, she said nothing—then, with visible effort, she forced her shoulders to relax.

"Fine," she bit out. "You've patched it. But don't think this means I'm taking orders from you, Silra." Her eyes flicked to where Abby knelt on the floor, still pressed against the wall in terror. "And don't think for a second that I won't punish insubordination."

Silra let her hands fall to her sides, the magical energy dissipating harmlessly into the air around them. She met Jeane's gaze steadily, her expression unreadable.

"I'm not looking for control here," she said calmly. "I'm trying to keep us all alive and out of magical prison. If you want to keep playing domme to Hera and her little harem, that's your business. But do it smartly, or we're all fucked."

Jeane opened her mouth as if to respond, then closed it again without speaking. She turned back to Hera, who lay panting against the wall, the magical field still holding her in place but no longer actively resisting her struggles.

"Abby," Jeane called out, her voice shifting to that silken command tone that seemed to vibrate with barely contained power. "Come here. Now."

Silra watched as Abby flinched visibly at the sound of her name, torn between fear and some deeper, darker compulsion. The elf woman's fingers twitched—a fraction of an inch toward her spell components before she forced herself still.

This was Jeane's show, for now. But if things went any further south, Silra might have to intervene more... directly.
