Abby

Abby · Civilian

I stand frozen, my heart hammering against my ribs like a trapped bird, every nerve ending screaming at me to run, but I can't even twitch a finger. My eyes are locked on Jeane's massive, leathery wings as they unfurl behind her, the sound of their rustle echoing in the sudden silence of the room. The air crackles with an energy I've never felt before, raising the fine hairs on my arms and the back of my neck. A shiver runs down my spine, but it isn't just from fear—there’s a jolt of pure, undeniable arousal mixed in.
Jeane's eyes find mine, her gaze pinning me more effectively than any physical restraint could. Her lips curl into a slow, knowing smile that sends another wave of heat through me. She knows exactly what she's doing to me, and she’s enjoying every second of it. My breath catches in my throat as I watch her step closer, each movement fluid and deliberate, like a predator stalking its prey. The air grows thick with the scent of her power, musky and intoxicating.
"Well now," her voice is a low purr that vibrates right through me, making my knees weak. "Looks like someone needs some special attention tonight." She reaches out a hand, not quite touching me yet, but I can feel the heat radiating from her skin. It's like standing too close to a fire, both terrifying and utterly captivating.
I try to take a step back, to put some distance between us, but my feet remain firmly planted on the floor. I'm completely helpless, held in place by whatever magic she's weaving around me. Panic claws at my throat, but it’s quickly drowned out by a rising tide of desperate need. This is wrong, this is dangerous, but God help me, I want it.

I reach out toward Jeane's arm, my fingers just brushing her skin before she flinches away. The barrier shudders visibly, crackling with strain. "Jeane—" I start, keeping my voice low and steady despite the urgency clawing at my ribs. "If you push harder now, we lose control completely." My eyes flick to Hera, still bound and watching with that unnerving focus, then back to Jeane's face. "We're not done here yet. Let me help stabilize the flow first." I don't wait for permission—I step closer, into her space, and press my palm flat against her lower back. The heat of her skin singes even through the thin film of magic between us. "Breathe," I tell her. "One second at a time. Feel the rhythm." My free hand moves to the small of her back, fingers splaying wide as I channel magical energy in slow, deliberate pulses. The barrier steadies fractionally but remains dangerously translucent. "Hera's not going anywhere," I murmur, loud enough for them both to hear. "And neither is Abby." My thumb traces a small circle against Jeane's spine, a tactile reminder of my presence, of the grounding I'm trying to provide.
