Round 70 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

I stand completely still against the edge of the large conference table, my heart pounding in my chest like a drum. Jeane's wings are out now, massive and leathery, their presence filling the room with an overwhelming aura of power and danger. I can feel every eye on me, but my gaze is locked onto her, this creature that looks so much like a woman yet is clearly something far more terrifying. A shiver runs down my spine as I remember the stories Hera told about what happens to women who fall prey to such beings.
Silra's voice cuts through the air, sharp and accusing, but it sounds distant now, muffled by the roaring in my ears. All I can focus on is the way Jeane moves, fluid and purposeful even with those massive wings unfurled behind her. She seems to radiate a calm confidence that is utterly at odds with the chaos breaking out around us.
My own fear is a tangible thing, a physical weight pressing down on my chest, but beneath it, something else stirs. A dark, thrilling curiosity. This is what I came here for, isn't it? To feel something I've never felt before, to push past the boundaries of my ordinary life? And here it is, right in front of me, so much more intense and real than any fantasy.
I take a small, shaky step forward, my hands pressed flat against the cold glass surface of the table. The movement draws Jeane's attention immediately; her head snaps towards me, those dark eyes locking onto mine with an unsettling intensity. She smiles then, a slow, predatory curve of her lips that sends another jolt through me, this one hot and liquid.
"I... I'm not scared," I say, the words coming out as a breathy whisper. It's a lie, but it feels like a crucial first step into something new. Something terrifyingly exciting.*
Silra's eyes track Jeane's movements with the cold precision of a predator marking its territory. She doesn't flinch when the wings unfurl—she understands what they mean far too well for comfort. "You're out of your depth, demon," Silra says flatly to the succubus who thinks she can play guardian now. Her hand drifts casually toward where her blade should be, fingers finding only air. She forces herself not to show it bothers her—that missing knife represents a vulnerability she hates. "Abby doesn't need your protection. What she needs is someone with enough sense to leave before things get messy."
Silra steps between Jeane and the human girl trembling by the table, stance loose but ready. Her gaze flicks to Hera for just an instant—respect for the cleric's instincts warring with frustration at her timing. This isn't a situation that can be solved with good intentions or prayer. "Let me handle this," Silra tells Jeane without turning away from Abby. "I've dealt with creatures like you before." The words are challenge and promise, equal parts.
I don't think you understand your position here, Jeane says softly, her voice a velvet caress despite the edge beneath it. You can leave, Silra—though I'm sure that would be very... inconvenient for whatever arrangement keeps you involved with this pathetic display. But Abby? Oh no. Her invitation is quite personal. She turns to face the cowering woman directly, her expression softening into something almost maternal—or perhaps a wolf smiling at a lamb. There's nothing to fear, little one. I'm not here to hurt you. She takes a deliberate step forward, her wings folding neatly against her back as she moves with fluid grace that seems to defy gravity. I'm here to show you pleasures beyond your wildest imagination.
This is the moment—she can sense it—the precise instant where terror might tip over into curiosity. The question hangs unspoken in the air: What if?
