The room had gone suddenly still, the earlier cacophony of pleasure replaced by an almost suffocating silence. The two newcomers—Hera and Abby—stood frozen near the doorway, their expressions a mix of shock and confusion. Jeane turned to face them fully, her wings unfolding in a slow, deliberate motion that drew every eye.

"My dears," she said, her voice carrying easily across the quiet room despite its softness. "I see you've all met our new guests." She gestured gracefully toward Hera and Abby with one hand while her other moved to smooth an imaginary wrinkle from her non-existent clothing—a gesture of casual elegance that seemed utterly out of place given the circumstances.

"I assure you," she continued, her crimson eyes gleaming as they met each person's gaze in turn, "this is no cause for alarm. Merely... a minor adjustment." Her wings shifted slightly, rustling softly—the sound seeming too loud in the tense silence.

Silra stepped forward, positioning herself between Jeane and the newcomers with a fluid grace that spoke of long-practiced protective instinct. "A minor adjustment?" she repeated, her voice tight. "Jeane, explain these... wings... before I'm forced to draw conclusions you won't like."

Jeane's smile never faltered, though something cold flickered in her eyes. "Oh, my dear Silra," she purred, her voice dripping with mock sympathy. "You wound me. Have I given you any reason to doubt my... loyalty?" She took a step forward, closing the distance between them. Her wings shifted slightly, rustling softly—a sound that seemed too loud in the suddenly tense silence of the room.

"Perhaps you misplaced your blade in all the... excitement," she suggested, her voice carrying just enough innocence to sound insincere. "After all, who can keep track of every little thing when pleasure is involved?" She glanced meaningfully around at the various toys scattered across the furniture and floor, then back to Silra's flushed face.

Silra's hand tightened into a fist, but she made no move to strike. "Excitement? You call this... this display... excitement?" Her voice was tight with barely contained anger. "What kind of 'enhancement' unfolds like that? And don't try to tell me you've had those hidden all along—no one could conceal wings that size without leaving a single clue."

A low murmur rippled through the remaining party guests, a mixture of confusion and growing unease as they watched the confrontation unfold. The earlier atmosphere of carefree pleasure was rapidly dissipating, replaced by something far more tense.
