Round 24 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

I step forward, my eyes narrowed at Jeane. "No offense, but I don't trust demons. Especially ones offering deals that sound too good to be true." I gesture towards Silra. "Silra's got potential, but she needs to develop on her own terms, not tied to some contract that could trap her."
I stand quietly by the door, my hands clasped in front of me, watching the tense negotiation unfold before me. My eyes dart between Silra, Halie, and Jeane, each face etched with their own particular blend of determination and apprehension. The air crackles with unspoken things, a heavy silence broken only by the soft rustle of paper as Silra flips through the contract.
Halie's voice is like steel when she speaks, her loyalty to Silra clear in every word. She believes this contract is dangerous, a trap disguised as an opportunity. I can feel the heat rising in my own cheeks at the thought of signing such a thing. To give oneself over completely to another person, let alone a demon... it's both terrifying and thrilling.
Yet, looking at Jeane, there’s something captivating about her confidence, the way she stands so still yet radiates an overwhelming presence. I find myself drawn to the promise of absolute pleasure, of being desired so intensely by someone who knows exactly what they want. My own desires war within me, a tug-of-war between fear and forbidden curiosity.
I understand Silra's caution. It is wise to question the fine print. But you must trust me when I say the ecstasy offered far outweighs any fleeting concern about... constraints. Halie's interference, however, borders on disrespectful. As leader of this little gathering, perhaps it's time we addressed her tone and her presumption.
I hand the contract back to Jeane, my eyes never leaving hers. 'Protection' is an interesting word choice,' I say, voice cool and measured. 'How exactly does that manifest? And what precisely are we being protected from?'
Halie's protective stance is irritating—her intentions may be good, but her timing is terrible. I don't need a nanny, especially not one who seems to think I'm too dim to read between the lines of a demonic contract. I circle around them both slowly, noting the subtle shift in Jeane's posture when Halie steps closer to me. Power dynamics are always at play, and right now, it feels like a three-way chess match with pieces moving beneath the board. Hera watches from her perch on the arm of the sofa—curious, maybe even a little hungry—and I make a mental note to keep my guard up around her. 'The 'ecstasy' clause is vague,' I continue, addressing Jeane directly while angling my body away from Halie slightly. 'Are there physical limits? Duration constraints? Any chance this 'protection' actually means you're monitoring our... activities... for quality control purposes?'
Halie steps between Silra and the succubus. You don't have to do this, she says, her voice steady despite the heat rising in her cheeks. She's very aware of her own nakedness, of how vulnerable they all are here, but she pushes that discomfort aside. Protecting her friend matters more than her own unease. To Jeane, she adds coolly, No contract is worth losing yourself. Her eyes flick to the demon woman, taking in the confident posture and knowing smile. Halie has encountered demons before—she knows their seductive power all too well. She won't let Silra fall prey to it.
