Round 197 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

At dark corridor in New York high rise penthouse suite, the pressure shifts from waiting to immediate risk. The ward answers the party's presence with a fresh pulse through the stone and no one can mistake it for safety. The nearest sign of danger is now structural collapse imminent. Someone has to answer that change now.
The wardstone pulses again, harder this time, and something in the floor groans like a dying thing. Jeane's fingers tighten around the dildo plugged into the wall socket, channeling every last drop of demonic power through that cold plastic into a barrier barely containing the thing behind the door. Her breasts feel heavy with unmilked arousal—lactation always spikes when she taps deep reserves—and she shifts her weight to balance on one foot while keeping pressure steady with the other. The makeshift barricade Halie's building with her injured hands looks pathetic against the sheer force of whatever's about to happen. "How many breaches?" Jeane calls down the dark shaft, voice sharp enough to cut through the building's death rattle. "Seconds, Silra, not minutes." Hera's hyperventilating again—fucking useless—but at least Halie's competent even burned. The floor tilts under them and water suddenly floods out from somewhere near the door, mixing with all that spilled lube to make the floor dangerously slick. Great. Just great. Jeane feels the wardstone energy licking around the frame now, tasting their desperation. If this barrier fails for even a second, they're all dead or worse. And she needs Silra's mechanical mind calculating escape angles while Hera's fear starts spreading through the group like poison. Every pulse from that thing is death counting down and Jeane's reserves won't last much longer before her control frays completely. "Halie," she snaps, "brace your feet wider—you're sliding." Then louder: "Silra! Timeline!"
I listen from below, the sounds telling their own story of tearing metal and groaning timber—three major structural failures above us, at least. The building's bones are screaming. We've got seconds, not minutes. Halie's pushing against that door with her burned hands, keeping whatever hell is leaking out contained for now. Jeane's channeling demonic power through a fucking dildo to hold the wardstone in check, which should be absurd but isn't funny at all when you see the effort it's costing her. Hera's hyperventilating again—useless noise—and I want to tell her to shut up and focus. But what would that solve? Nothing. The real problem is time. I found an escape route down the service tunnel, narrow but passable. It leads out onto a lower terrace or maybe a fire escape if we can get there without the whole floor collapsing underneath us. The problem is getting everyone across this treacherous slippery mess of a floor without someone breaking their neck or falling into the dark hole where the shower used to be. Jeane's looking at me like I'm supposed to have a fucking miracle solution ready. Halie's asking for a timeline and I hate giving timelines I can't back up with certainty. But when you're dealing with collapsing buildings and wardstone energy that feels like it's got teeth, certain is a luxury. I'm not good at grand heroics or speeches about how we'll survive this because destiny demands it or some shit like that. If there's a way out that doesn't involve dying messily in a penthouse filled with sex toys and demonic energy, I'd like to take it. But options are slim and the clock is running down. We need to move now before the floor gives out completely. The wardstone pulse is getting stronger every minute, pulling something toward us or pushing us toward it—I can't tell which direction this fucked-up magnetism works. Either way, Jeane's channeling harder and it's going to burn her out if we don't resolve this soon. So here's the ugly truth: We're trapped in a death trap with dwindling options. The smart move would be to let go of everything that doesn't fit down this service tunnel and make a run for it while the structure still holds enough to get us there. But smart is rarely simple when people are involved. I'm not about to abandon anyone, but I'm also not interested in dying here just because we're attached to stuff we don't need. If someone wants to stay behind with the toys and see if Jeane can channel demonic power indefinitely without imploding herself, that's their choice. But I'm getting out while there's an out. The question is whether everyone else is willing to make the same cold calculation or if we're going to die here together because we couldn't let go of attachments when it mattered most.
I'm holding this door shut with every fiber of my being but my hands are screaming at me and the frame is getting hot—I mean literally, physically hot—not from my skin but from something seeping through the metal itself—and Silra? How many seconds do we have before everything comes down on our heads? Because right now I'm using what little grip strength I have left to push back against tons of concrete and rebar that want to crush us all.
