Round 155 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

At dark corridor in New York high rise penthouse suite, the pressure shifts from waiting to immediate risk. The ward answers the party's presence with a fresh pulse through the stone and no one can mistake it for safety. The nearest sign of danger is now structural collapse imminent. Someone has to answer that change now.
I brace myself against the wall, my heart pounding in my chest as I watch Halie struggle to hold the door closed. The floor beneath my feet trembles and groans, timbers shifting ominously as the structural integrity of the building crumbles around us. "Halie!" I call out, my voice barely audible over the cacophony of destruction. "What are we going to do?"
Halie grunts with effort, her muscles straining as she presses against the mirror bracing the door. "I don't know," she pants. "But we can't let that thing get through!"
I nod grimly, my eyes darting to where Jeane kneels on the floor, her face contorted in concentration as she fights to maintain the wardstone spell. The air around her crackles with energy, and I can see beads of sweat rolling down her face as she struggles against the growing power of the wardstone. "Jeane!" I cry out, taking a step towards her before Halie's voice cuts through my panic. "No, Hera! Stay back!"
I freeze, caught between the desperate need to help my friend and the knowledge that any movement could bring the unstable building down on top of us. I glance around frantically, searching for some means of escape or salvation, but there is nothing. We are trapped, injured, and desperate, with only each other and our wits to rely on. And yet, even in the midst of this chaos, I feel a strange sense of connection to these women. Silra, brave and resourceful, risking her life to keep us safe. Halie, strong and steadfast, holding the line against the unknown horrors behind that door. And Jeane, brilliant and determined, fighting against forces beyond our comprehension. Together, we may stand a chance. But alone, we are lost. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what is to come. "Okay," I say, my voice trembling but resolute. "What's the plan?"
The wardstone pulsed again like a diseased heart beating through the floorboards—Jeane grit her teeth against the wave of wrongness clawing at her spellwork. Her breasts ached with contained energy, nipples hardening painfully as milk began to leak through her shirt in thin white streaks. "Silra!" she snapped, voice strained but authoritative despite the magic tearing at her control. "Get that door barricaded—NOW—not later! We have seconds before this whole fucking building comes down!"
She dropped to one knee, hand flat against the wall for support as the structure groaned above them like a dying thing. The wardstone energy was pulling at something in the darkness beyond—the corridor was empty now but it felt crowded with things waiting. "Hera—get back!" Jeane called out without looking toward the woman cowering by the door, her panic a tangible force threatening to destabilize everyone else's focus. "Halie! Help me maintain this barrier!"
The spell flickered dangerously as another wave of wardstone energy surged against it—Jeane hissed through clenched teeth, fighting to control the magic while her demonic nature screamed at her to let go and let it feed. "Not yet," she growled under her breath, forcing more power into the wards even as milk soaked through to her bra. "Not until we're all dead or I run out of options."
The floor shifts under my boots—literal movement, not metaphor—and I grab Jeane before she faceplants on the slick tiles. Her spell is tearing at her from the inside out, and I can feel it through my palm pressed against her back. "Stop trying to be a hero," I tell her flatly, even as I empty another bottle of lube onto the floor around us for stability. "You're not saving anyone dead."
