As Jeane steps through the doorway, she finds herself in a small, dimly lit chamber with walls that seem to be made of a thick, pulsing membrane. The air is heavy with the scent of damp earth and something else, something acrid and metallic. Silra stumbles forward, her eyes fixed on Jeane's face, but her grip on reality seems tenuous at best. The walls begin to shift and writhe around them, their surface rippling like a living thing. The blue glow from the previous chamber pulses through the membrane, casting an eerie light on the pair's faces. Concrete consequence: The walls' control over space tightens, causing Silra's grip on Jeane's arm to falter, threatening to send her stumbling into the membrane. New detail: A series of small, glistening nodules begin to form on the surface of the membrane, each one pulsing with a faint, malevolent energy. Immediate pressure: Silra must decide whether to try and maintain control over Jeane's body, or allow the entity downstairs to manipulate them both, risking further exposure to the corruption and accelerating her own consumption.

The membrane walls of this chamber pulse and writhe around us, their surface rippling like a living thing. I stumble forward, my eyes wide with terror as the blue glow from outside casts an eerie light on everything, including the small glistening nodules forming all over the inner surface. Each one pulses with a faint, malevolent energy that seems to draw me in. Silra's grip on my arm is gone, leaving me feeling exposed and vulnerable.
I can feel the presence downstairs now, a vast and ancient consciousness pressing against the boundaries of our minds. It’s like being trapped in a waking dream where every sensation is magnified to an excruciating degree. The air is thick with something acrid and metallic, clinging to my skin like a second layer.
I try to take a step back towards the door we just entered through, but my legs feel heavy, sluggish, as if the very air is pushing against me. A wave of dizziness washes over me, and I have to steady myself against one of the pulsing walls. My hand sinks into its soft, spongy surface, sending a jolt of cold through my entire body.
My heart hammers against my ribs as a fresh wave of dread washes over me. This is what they wanted all along, isn't it? To lure us into their domain so they could consume us completely. But there’s a part of me, a dark and secret part that I've never dared to acknowledge, that thrills at the thought.
"I... I can hear them," I whisper, my voice hoarse with fear. "They're inside this wall. They want something from us."
