As we struggle to free ourselves, the creature's grip on Jeane's arm tightens, its fingers digging into her skin. The pulsing blue glow from the wall intensifies, casting an eerie light on our entwined bodies. The air crackles with energy, and I feel a blast of heat wash over us as the wall's adaptive tissue contracts and pulls away from us. We tumble backward, landing hard on the stone floor. The creature's eyes flash with warning as it leans in closer, its breath hot against my skin. "We need to move now," it growls, its voice low and urgent. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and I feel the ground beneath us begin to shake. New detail: The hum emanating from the creature's body grows louder, accompanied by a subtle vibration that sends a shiver down my spine. As we struggle to catch our breath, I notice that the wall opposite us is now twisted and contorted, its living tissue writhing like a living thing. Immediate pressure: We must decide whether to try to escape the wall's grasp or surrender to the creature's weight and let it lead us through the winding tunnels. The creature's gaze locks onto mine, its eyes burning with a fierce intensity as it whispers, "We can't stay here. The node's energy will corrupt us if we don't move."

I feel the creature’s weight pressing down on me, its hot breath washing over my face as it leans in close. Its eyes flash with an intensity that makes my heart hammer against my ribs, and I know it's right—we can't stay here, not with this thing stalking us, its presence a living nightmare.
The sound of rushing water fills the air, a deafening roar that seems to be coming from everywhere at once. The ground beneath us trembles, a low vibration that travels up my spine and settles deep in my bones. I try to push myself up, but the creature’s body is like a prison, pinning me to the cold stone floor.
"I... okay," I gasp out, my voice so faint it's almost lost in the cacophony of sound around us. But as I say it, I know it’s a lie. My entire body is screaming at me to run, to get away from this thing, but there is no escape. The walls seem to be closing in on us, their adaptive tissue writhing like a living thing.
The creature's grip on my arm tightens, its fingers digging into my flesh hard enough to make me wince. Its gaze bores into mine, holding me captive more effectively than any physical restraint ever could. "We need to go now," it growls again, the words vibrating through its chest and into my own body.
I give a small, frantic nod, my eyes wide with fear as I look past the creature's shoulder at the twisted, pulsating wall behind it. Whatever that thing is, it wants us, and it won't be denied much longer.
With a sudden burst of strength, the creature hauls me to my feet, its arm wrapped around my waist in a vice-like hold. It begins to move, pulling me forward into the winding tunnels with a purposeful stride that leaves no room for argument or hesitation. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and I feel a fresh wave of dread wash over me as we plunge deeper into this living nightmare.
