The walls around Abby began to move, their surfaces undulating like living flesh as the symbols pulsed with increasing intensity. The air grew thick with ancient power, vibrating with a low hum that filled her ears and made her skin crawl. She tried to back away but found herself pinned between the walls as they seemed to explore her with grotesque curiosity.

The ground shifted beneath her feet, and she stumbled forward, her hand pressing against the wall that felt unnaturally hot and pulsing with the same rhythm as the air. Panic surged through her, and she knew she had to escape this hellish place, but her feet remained rooted to the spot as terror paralyzed her.

The humming grew louder still until it was all she could hear, and then a section of the wall before her began to bulge outward, pushing against the space between her and the opposite wall until she found herself trapped, her back pressed against the living stone that pulsed with an unsettling, almost hungry energy.
