Round 236 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As we wait in the enclosed space, the fluid continues to pool around our feet, its dark surface rippling like a living thing. The air is heavy with ozone and decay, and I can feel the corruption spreading, its icy tendrils wrapping around my skin like cold fingers. Hera's grip on my hand tightens, her eyes fixed on the walls as they begin to secrete a thick, viscous fluid that flows across the floor, pooling in a slow, relentless advance. The fluid reaches our ankles, and I can feel it seeping into our skin, a cold, clammy sensation that makes my skin crawl. Hera's face sets in a determined expression, "We need to find a way out of here, now." She glances at me, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and determination. Immediate pressure: Do we try to navigate the fluid-covered floor, or do we wait for the walls to reveal their next move? (Note: The fluid has reached our ankles, and it's starting to seep into our skin. The situation is becoming increasingly dire.)
Hera's heart races as she feels the cold fluid seeping into her skin, its icy tendrils wrapping around her ankles like a living thing. She glances down at the dark surface, seeing it ripple and swirl as if responding to their presence.
"Fuck," she breathes, her voice barely audible over the hum of the walls. "We can't wait this out."
She turns to Abby, her eyes wide with fear but determined. "We have to move. Now."
Hera takes a tentative step forward, feeling the fluid slosh around her feet as she shifts her weight. She grimaces as the cold seeps deeper into her flesh, but she forces herself to take another step, then another.
"We need to find a way out of this enclosed space," she says, her voice tight with urgency. "The walls are closing in on us, and I have no idea what they'll do next."
She reaches out, her oiled hand brushing against the organic carvings. They writhe under her touch, as if in pain or anger at the contact.
"God, this place is alive," she whispers, shuddering. "I can feel it... like a thousand tiny needles pricking my skin."
She looks back at Abby, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and determination. "Stay close to me. We need to move together, but don't let your skin touch the walls or this fluid any more than necessary."
Hera takes another step forward, the fluid sloshing around her feet as she moves deeper into the enclosed space. She can feel it seeping into her bones, a cold, insidious presence that seems to be spreading with every passing moment.
"We're running out of time," she says, her voice barely a whisper. "And I don't know if we have any more options left."
She takes another step, then another, each movement a struggle against the fluid's relentless pull. The walls seem to loom closer, their organic carvings writhing and twisting in the darkness.
"But we can't just stand here," she says, her voice filled with grim determination. "We have to keep moving forward, no matter what happens."
And so, with a deep breath and a silent prayer, Hera takes another step into the unknown, leading Abby deeper into the heart of this nightmarish place, where the only thing they can be certain of is that danger lies ahead.
