As Halie takes a step forward, her eyes fixed on the portal, the stone floor shudders again, and the glowing glyphs on the floor pulse more rapidly. The air currents grow stronger, drawing Abby's attention to the opening stone door, now creaking slowly as it swings open further. The sound of grinding stone grows louder, and the chamber begins to fill with a fine, powdery dust that settles around Jeane and Halie like a cold, gray mist. Suddenly, the dust particles begin to take shape, coalescing into small, skeletal figures that rise from the floor, their bony hands grasping for the party members. The figures are no larger than Abby's foot, but their presence is unmistakable, and Jeane's eyes narrow as she raises her hands, ready to defend her companions. "Get behind me!" Jeane shouts, her voice firm despite the growing panic in her eyes. "We can't let them get too close!"

Jeane

Jeane · Sorcerer

I spin around, my wings instinctively unfurling despite the cramped space—I can feel them catch air, threatening balance—and see those skeletal dust figures rising from the floor like some kind of fucked-up magic trick gone wrong. My hands are already glowing with what little magical energy I have left—5%, maybe less after maintaining barriers for so long—but even that small amount pulses weakly between my fingers. "Get behind me!" I shout, my voice firm despite the panic crawling up my throat. "We can't let them get too close!"

One of the figures lunges at Halie—I see her stumble backward, nearly falling on her ass again—and I thrust out a hand towards it without thinking. A weak jet of dark energy sputters from my palm—more like a magical cough than an actual spell—but it catches the figure mid-leap and sends it scattering in a dozen bone fragments across the stone floor. My chest heaves as I try to catch my breath—I'm running on fumes here, pure adrenaline and spite keeping me upright. The tendril still pulses against my breast, each beat reminding me how vulnerable I am right now—no barrier between us and whatever these dust monsters are. I glance at the portal behind us—our escape route—and then back to the open stone door with its dark tunnel beckoning like a fucking death trap with promises of adventure. We need to move NOW before more of these things show up or I collapse from magical exhaustion. "Abby, Halie—I don't care which way you choose, but pick one and MOVE!" I bark out the command, my wings twitching with impatience as I try to keep them from smacking into walls or each other. "Portal or tunnel? Make your choice and stick with it!"

The glyphs beneath our feet pulse faster now—it feels like the whole chamber is breathing around us, getting ready to exhale something terrible. My pussy clenches involuntarily as another wave of arousal mixed with panic washes over me—I can't let these sensations control me again. I take a step towards the portal, my hand outstretched to grab Halie if she doesn't move fast enough. "Portal it is," I declare, not giving them time to argue or get curious about the fucking tunnel again. "Unless you want to see what other magical horrors this place has in store for us."

The skeletal fragments on the floor start reassembling themselves almost immediately—faster than I expected—and that's all the motivation I need to push forward.

Abby

Abby · Civilian

The skeletal dust figures rising from the floor send a jolt of pure terror through me—they look like they could be alive, and the thought of those tiny bone hands touching my skin makes my stomach churn. I watch in horror as one lunges at Halie, Jeane's weak magical blast barely scattering it before it can reach her.
"I-I'm with you, let's go!" I say, my voice high-pitched with fear as I stumble towards the portal, my eyes darting between the dust figures and the dark tunnel. The idea of facing whatever is in that unknown space terrifies me, but staying here with these creepy things seems even worse. My heart hammers against my ribs as Jeane pushes Halie towards the shimmering surface.
As we approach the portal, I can feel its energy pulling at me, a strange mixture of cold and heat radiating from it. The air around it seems to vibrate slightly, and I can see faint, swirling patterns within its depths—like looking into a deep pool of water under a full moon. It's beautiful, in a way, but also deeply unsettling.
I hesitate for just a moment before stepping through after Halie—Jeane is right behind me, herding us like lost sheep—and instantly feel a cold, wet sensation wash over my entire body. I gasp as the water closes around me, filling my ears and nose, and I frantically paddle my arms to keep myself afloat in the sudden darkness.
