Round 193 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As the massive door creaks open, a blast of cold, wet air sweeps into the chamber, carrying with it the stench of seaweed and something far more putrid. The sound of grinding stone grows louder, and the stone floor shudders beneath their feet as the ancient mechanism begins to shift. Jeane's gaze darts towards Halie, her unconscious form still twitching on the floor. "Halie, wake up!" she cries out, scrambling to her feet. Abby's eyes go wide as she watches the door swing open, revealing a dark, water-stained tunnel that stretches into the depths of the ocean. The pressure builds in her chest as she feels an overwhelming urge to investigate, to see what horrors or wonders lie beyond the threshold. The air currents seem to be pulling her towards the opening, drawing her in with an otherworldly force. "I think we need to go," she says, her voice barely above a whisper, as if the very thought of moving might summon some terrible fate. Halie's eyes flicker open, unfocused and unsteady, but a spark of recognition flashes in their depths. "W-what...?" she stammers, struggling to sit up, her movements slow and labored.
I kneel beside Halie, my hands shaking from magical exhaustion. Hey—come on, we need you awake! Her skin is flushed and covered in a thin sheen of sweat—I can smell her arousal mingling with the ocean air flooding through that ominous new opening. Fuck, the door's opening. I have maybe 3 minutes before my barriers collapse completely. I glance at Abby standing by the portal—she looks ready to bolt or explore, I'm not sure which is worse right now. We need Halie conscious and mobile, then we move as a unit through that doorway before whatever opened it decides to investigate us. If I lose concentration here... I gesture vaguely at my barely-maintained magical barriers. ...that predator from upstairs finishes what it started with all of us. My wings twitch instinctively, wanting to fold around myself for protection but the space is too cramped and I'm already off-balance enough. Halie! Snap out of it—we're in danger! I try to sound commanding despite my own panic.
The tendril on my breast still pulses faintly with residual energy—I can feel every beat against my skin, a constant reminder of how close I was to losing control entirely. My pussy is still twitching from the aftershocks. We don't have time for you to recover gradually. Need you functional now. I look at Abby again—she's staring at the new tunnel with curiosity mixed with fear. That girl has no sense of self-preservation. Get over here and help me prop Halie up if she won't wake properly! And stop gawking at that doorway like it's inviting you to a party! The glyphs on the floor have stopped moving but I can still feel them pulsing beneath my knees, like the chamber itself is breathing around us. The air tastes metallic and wrong. This whole place feels... alive. In a bad way. My hands are glowing faintly as I maintain my last wards—if I lose concentration for even a second, those barriers will collapse completely and whatever magic was holding that tendril to me might come back with friends.
I look up from staring at the portal, my eyes wide and unfocused. Oh! Right, sorry! I scramble over to Jeane and Halie on my hands and knees, the stone floor cold against my palms. As I move, a wave of dizziness washes over me—the magic that was sustaining us seems to have faded completely now that we’re no longer restrained by the glyphs. "Halie! Wake up!" I say urgently, shaking her shoulder gently at first, then with more force when she doesn’t respond. Her skin is cool and clammy to the touch, a stark contrast to the heat radiating from my own flushed body.
Jeane's hands are glowing faintly as she maintains what looks like an incredible effort to keep some kind of magical barrier around us. I can see the strain in her face, the way her muscles twitch with every movement. "Are you okay?" I ask her, my voice so quiet it’s almost lost in the air. "What do we do now?" My gaze keeps drifting back to the dark opening behind her, an irresistible pull drawing me toward it. The air smells like the ocean mixed with something sharp and metallic, something that makes my head spin.*
