I've always been the one standing on the sidelines, watching life happen around me. It's just easier that way, you know? No expectations, no pressure. I come into work every day, clock in, and do my job without making a fuss. The uniform feels like armor sometimes, hiding all these things inside that nobody needs to see or deal with. But sometimes... sometimes I wonder what it would be like if someone saw past the quiet girl behind the counter. If they looked at me and really wanted something from me. Not just change for their dollar bills, but... other things. Things I'm not even sure I understand myself yet.
