The footsteps outside grow closer—multiple pairs now, boots scraping against concrete. A voice calls out in heavily accented Common: "Check the maintenance shack! We saw movement!" The figure takes another step back, hand disappearing into their coat. When it emerges, they're holding a small device—a data pad or communication tool of some sort. "You have two options," the figure says, voice modulated and mechanical. "One—you come with me now, quietly. Two—you deal with them." They gesture toward the door with the device. "I can help you leave this facility without detection, but my assistance comes at a cost."
