Silra's fingers moved with practiced precision across her keyboard interface, the glow from the screens illuminating her face in stark contrast to the darkness beyond. The water had risen to her waist now, cold and insistent, swirling around her with a purpose that felt almost malicious. She looked up from her screen, a hint of triumph in her expression, but it was quickly replaced by concern as she realized the entity was adapting to their movements.

"Shit," she muttered under her breath. "It's trying to isolate our digital signatures." The water continued to rise, lapping at her thighs now as she worked frantically to maintain control over the system. She could feel it—someone or something else in there with them, manipulating the infrastructure to cut off their escape routes.

Jeane stood nearby, her crimson eyes gleaming in the flickering light from the screens lining the tunnel walls. The succubus's wings were folded tight against her back, but tension radiated through every line of her body. She had already moved to stand beside Silra and was inputting commands with blinding speed, her fingers dancing across virtual keyboards only she could see.

"Fin... The water reached Silra's waist now, cold and insistent. Fucking hell—it's not just in the data stream anymore." She braced against rising water that now reached her waist, eyes locked on the smoke-form creature advancing through the liquid. Fine! Take the damn collar, but I want one thing clear—if this goes south and we're all soul-fucked into digital oblivion, I'm holding you responsible for every second of it, Jeane. *She sent the programmed submission restraint down...

The entity materialized fully now, a writhing mass of data and shadow that pulsed with malevolent energy. The water around them seemed to alive with its presence, tendrils reaching out to caress their skin through the cold liquid. Silra felt a shiver run down her spine that had nothing to do with the temperature.

"Alright, you twisted piece of code," she growled, fingers never stopping their dance across the keys. "Let's see how you like being on the other end of a leash." The digital collar she'd programmed shot out from her interface, a shimmering construct that snared the entity mid-formation.

For a moment, everything seemed to hold its breath. Then the collar activated, and the entity let out a screech that echoed through the tunnel—a sound that was half electronic feedback, half something far more organic and primal. The water around them began to churn violently as the creature thrashed against its new restraints.

Silra's eyes widened with both triumph and horror as she realized what she'd unleashed. "Oh shit—Jeane, I think we might have just made things a whole lot worse!"
